Lawries Charters

Lawrie Charters is based at North Haven , Adelaide, South Australia.

North Haven is about 15km north of Adelaide CBD. All the fishing grounds targeted are within the St. Vincent Gulf area, where there are many natural and artificial reefs including ship wrecks within this region.

Your skipper, Rob Lawrie, has lived on the peninsular all his life and has over 30 years of fishing experience.

Our vessel is a “Shark Cat” and their twin hulls are known for their stability in the water, they are used a lot by the Police and Coastguard for this reason, it has a 8.2 metre hull with two connecting pods and outboards totaling 9 metres, she currently runs twin 225 V6 Yamaha’s with counter rotating props.

The name “Protector” has a long history on the peninsular and for South Australia as in 1884 our navy boat HMCS Protector arrived from England to protect the colony and the name has carried on from vessel to vessel as with our ex police boat “Protector” which has seen plenty of action in the St Vincent Gulf and in and around the Port River.
